Forest Carbon was engaged by the multi-national corporation Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances to advise them on their CSR initiative to promote energy efficient cooking stoves to the base of the pyramid market segment in Lombok and Central Java, Indonesia. Forest Carbon conducted a baseline energy survey in order to quantify the development and climate benefits of the company’s Protos stove project.

Using the baseline survey data, Forest Carbon created an interactive map within Google Earth in order to assist the company in the management of its project as it seeks to scale the number of users into the thousands by the year end. The interactive map will also allow project donors to visualize the impacts of the project.
